Shifting Gears 2014 Workplace Challenge Awards

The eleventh annual Shifting Gears Workplace Challenge, which took place during May, came to a close on Friday with the awarding of the Travel Wise Workplace awards. Challenge organizers and workplace coordinators met at noon at the Silver Bean Café to hear how the 2014 Workplace Challenge went and to find out who had won the Travel Wise Workplace awards. One Peterborough Cyclist’s 2013 Year In Review

20132013 was a mixed bag for Peterborough cyclists. Generally, the weather was good through the summer months. And although this winter has come in early and ugly, the 2012-13 winter came late and left relatively early giving most folks a good riding season. Beyond the weather, several events and actions in 2013 improved cycling in Peterborough. We did, however, have a few set-backs.

2013 Cycling Summit is bigger and better

The Power of Paint

Two long-awaited events occurred within days of each other: bike lanes were finally painted on the Hunter Street Bridge and the pedestrian/bike bridge at the CPR bridge was, unofficially at least, reopened.
